Rotary drum cooler

Cooling machine is one of the main machines in rotary kiln production system. Its role is to cool the 1000~1300clinker from rotary kiln to 200 and below by heating exchange of moving materials and airflow inside the rotating barrel.

Working Principle of Rotary Drum Cooler

The masonry structure of refractory lining occupies about half of the cylinder, with the remaining fixed up with spreading boards. The clinker will be raised up for many times and then evenly spread and it exchanges heat with the cooling air. Especially in low temperature zone, the inclination angle and the speed can be adjusted by improving the structure and distribution of the spreading boards to increase the contact with air and control the movement speed, making the heat has plenty of time to conduct to the surface, resulting into the sufficient recycle of the heat from the low temperature clinker.
