Jaw crusher thrust plate, also known as brackets, plays a role of transmitting power to make the movable jaw plate swing back and forth, and also has safety insurance effect, changing its length also can adjust the discharge port. If non-crushed materials (such as iron ball, iron, etc.) get into jaw crusher crushing cavity, we can use thrust plate as the insurance component of the crusher to protect the main parts of the equipment from damage. Rear thrust plate is generally cast with cast iron, we can open a groove or a plurality of apertures to reduce its cross-sectional intensity; also, it can be cast into two, and then connected together by screws (or rivets) to form a combination thrust plate. When non-crushed materials get into the crushing chamber, the equipment overloads; huge crushing force is passed to the thrust plate, which leads to the thrust plate break or screw of combined thrust plate snip, so the machine stops working, playing the role of insurance. With the constant wear and tear of the tooth plate, the port of discharge gradually becomes larger and the products continue to be coarse; in order to get qualified product size, we need to be adjusted the size of the discharge mouth periodically. The adjustment methods of discharge mouth have the following two:
(1) Gasket adjustment: that is setting a group of gaskets between the fulcrum bearing of thrust plate and frame back wall; increasing or decreasing the number of shims or changing their thickness can achieve the purpose of regulating discharge mouth. This method has compact structure and reliable regulation, large and medium-sized jaw crushers usually adopt this regulation way.
(2) Wedge adjustment: adjusting the mouth with the two wedges between the back seat of the thrust plate and rack; it is suitable for small crusher.
